Santa's coming a little early this year...

Some of you may have noticed my new little button on my sidebar....

Yes that's right, Santa is coming a little early this year.  Santa is teaming up with my blog and some wonderful Etsy shops for my 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway!  Starting Monday, November 29th (the Monday after Thanksgiving) this giveaway will feature a different etsy shop and a different giveaway everyday!  All of these shops have wonderful items that make the perfect holiday gifts for everyone on your list!

I'm remodeling a bit....

Friday is finally here! The weather is getting colder, and feel of the holidays is in the air!

Today we are getting Jack's first haircut....I have a feeling he may not cooperate but we shall see.
Poor Jack has also been in such teething pain these last few nights.  I think he is getting a molar in.  We have tried everything, tylenol, orajel, things to bite..nothing is working.  If anyone has any great ideas to make Jack a happy baby, please let me know!

Let the holiday shopping begin!

I can't believe it's November already.  Stores have all of their holiday decorations out which means it's also time to start thinking about those holiday cards.  Now that I have Jack, I want to be sure to send a cute photo Christmas card every year.     Last year we used Shutterfly for our cards, and I am thrilled to use them again.  The hard part?  Which of the 748 designs will I choose?

Seriously, there are so many cute ones, I can't choose a favorite.  These two, however,  are so super cute!  All of the holiday cards are beautiful and I know you will be able to find one that fits your family!

I love this HO HO HO one becuase it's not your typical holiday card. I love the spot for 3 pictures as well.  This may be the one I choose!

Another card with the same idea as the first yet totally different is the 5x7 Scarlet Frames Story Christmas Card.  I loved the red design details, this holiday photo card looks polished, modern and elegant.  I liked two things about this card.  The first was the ability to write a quick milestone or update beneath each of the kids pictures.  The second is that because it is on a flat stationary card I could technically send it out as is, without an envelope as a post card.

I am so excited to start designing and ordering and sending my holiday cards!

I slack. I know.

So I started 30 Days of Truth thiniking I would post everyday, and it would be so great and life changing.
Then work and cleaning and cooking and errands and family got in the way.

So I am moving at my own pace....but it's okay.

Day 7: Someone who has made your life worth living for.
I think it's pretty obvious but there are two.  My husband and Jack.  My husban evens me out and brings me back to reality at times.  He is my best friend.  And well Jack, he is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me.  I can't even explain it.

Day 8: Someone who made your life hell, or treated you like crap.
I am pretty lucky with this one, but no one.

I hope everyone had a great Halloween!  I also hope you ate tons of candy..I know I did!
We had a great weekend...and  I'm exhausted.
I thought I would first share a little blast from the past.  This was Jack exactly one year ago today:

We did the rounds today...went to both Grandma's homes and walked around the neighborhood.  He had a blast and I was surprised he didn't mind wearing a dragon head!

Next year we will attempt real Trick or Treating, but for now I had a blast just watching how much fun he had.

First Birthday Fun!

So I have been so stressed and tired from all the birthday madness, but it is finally over. And I have some pictures.  Again I am not too pleased with them as it is sooooo hard to get Jack to sit still to take pictures!
Here are some of his birthday and his party.  We all had a great time.  Again, he had absolutely no interest in the cake. 

I think he shared in our exhaustion.  He slept 14 hours after the party.  Being 1 is very rough!

30 Days of Truth Days 5 and 6...

I have been doing two days a week becuase honestly I have been forgetting to do this everyday.  Here it goes!
Day 5: Something you hope to do in your life.

This may be a strange thing, but I would love to do two things.  Go on an African Safari, and learn to play the violin.  The second, of course, is much more feasible, but who knows, maybe I will get to Africa someday.
I used to play the piano, and was very good at it, but the violin is something I have always loved.  It sounds beautiful.  I am hoping when I have some extra money I can buy one and take some lessons.

Day 6: Something you hope you never have to do.

I hope I never have a family member that has to go through a serious illness like cancer.  I hope I never have to see anyone in my family suffer.
