I'll be honest. Lately I have been having a bit of "blogger burnout". Maybe it's the summer. Maybe it's becuase I am not bored at work. It could be a lot of things. I feel like there is not enough time in the day for everything "blogging". Blog posts, Facebook, Twitter, Blog message boards, blog communities, I could spend the whole day "blogging" and still not feel caught up!
So how do you do it? All of you other bloggers out there. Do you choose certain things to focus on? Do you have a "blog" schedule? What is your blog strategy? Do you ever experience "blog burnout"?
I know this phase will pass, but blogging is way more overwhelming sometimse than I thought it would be.

I just recently started following your blog, but here's my advice. I went through a phase where I wanted more followers and to be involved in more blog communities, etc. I was obsessed with it. But, then a fellow blogger told me something. The best blogs are the ones that blog for themselves. I stopped obsessing. I stopped searching for communities. I don't Twitter... I blog to document every moment I can for my family. That's all. I love to do it because I know I'll love looking back on it. I don't worry about what others think or how many people see it. Blog for you!
I went through burn out too--where it seemed more like work to blog. Just like Jen, I also went through a phase of wanting to get as many followers as possible. I even went so far as to "scheduling" my posts. But you know what...whatever! lol. I blog when I want about whatever. Those that love me will continue to love me..those that dont't well sucks for them because its all real...all me. Have fun with blogging. Vent, blog about nail polish or poop. I thought about getting an FB page, but decided against it. I do have twitter and I'm ALWAYS on twitter. Short, sweet..just like me :)
It will pass Amy, promise.
Blogging is a giant time suck. I love it...and sometimes I am just like "nope, not going to do anything online today." I do set a schedule and try to post every few says so that i am not spamming my email subscribers :)
i go through it regularly too but then it just seems to pass. i am very unorganized and just do thing haphazardly. i suck at staying involved in a single community, thus I have zero real connections with any other bloggers. but the writing goes sometimes from being easy to feeling like work. i think its pretty natural but I am just proud of myself for sticking with it and never letting it overwhelm me to the point that I throw in the towel.
